MW Creative
Hi! I’m Mary Widener, a recent graduate from the University of Georgia receiving my Bachelors in Advertising with a minor in Studio Art, with a focus on photography. From sketching fashion designs as a child to upcycling thrifted clothes on my sewing machine, making art for my walls, or capturing the world through film photography, my creative sense has guided me for as long as I can remember. I love working with my hands, and have dabbled in a wide range of mediums, including pottery, jewelry and metalwork, mixed media art, CAD and 3D design, and more.
Over time, my passion has evolved into a commitment to creative work and compelling brand strategy, where I strive to blend artistry with purposeful storytelling. Through my academic and professional experiences, I’ve built a diverse creative skillset. I am proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Lightroom, as well as Canva. My time abroad in Japan offered a valuable perspective on the global advertising and PR market, further shaping how I think about audiences and cultural influences in creative work.
I am especially inspired by brands and creators who elevate advertising into an art form, merging the language of creative expression with brand storytelling. This type of work motivates me to design campaigns that are not only strategically effective but also visually striking and culturally resonant.
Looking ahead, I aspire to grow into roles in the creative or brand strategy realm, with the long-term goal of becoming a Creative Director. Until then, I’m eager to continue experimenting, learning, and creating work that both inspires and connects with audiences in meaningful ways. Please feel free to explore my portfolio and reach out if you’d like to connect!
